Barnes thinks Nkunku was wrong to move to Chelsea

Liverpool legend John Barnes believes Christopher Nkunku‘s move to Chelsea was a “big mistake”.

Fabrizio Romano, a famous journalist, reports that “Blues” have reached an agreement with Leipzig to bring the 25-year-old forward to the team next summer for a fee of about 63 million pounds amid the Interested from many famous teams, but Barnes sees that this move may be a mistake.

“He (Nkunku) is young but has quite a bit of experience. He has the speed and has done very well with Leipzig over the years,” Barnes told Bonus Codebets.

“But it’s difficult for young players to come to a ufabet club like Chelsea because they are uncertain in terms of changing managers.”

“He has great potential but Chelsea haven’t been that great in the last six months. And I don’t want to see a young, talented player move to a club that is currently unstructured.

“If he goes to Chelsea, the club should be patient with him and I don’t think they have that kind of patience with young players.”

Nkunku has been in 159 appearances for Leipzig since 2019, scoring 64 goals and providing 51 assists.

“He (Nkunku) is young but has quite a bit of experience. He has the speed and has done very well with Leipzig over the years,” Barnes told Bonus Codebets.
